About the role
Reporting to our General Manager, Marketing & Communications, the Internal Engagement Manager will develop and deliver communication strategies and events that engage employees, align with our strategy, culture and values, and help shape the conversation at Ventia.
This role is responsible for CEO, Group function and enterprise communications for internal audiences, including key campaigns, as well as developing and maintaining employee communication channels in line with best practice.
You’ll thrive in a fast-moving environment, using your ability to prioritise and partner with a variety of stakeholders throughout the business.

Based in our corporate head office in North Sydney, this role offers flexible working arrangements, with time in the office and working from home.
Key responsibilities
- Manage communications and provide event support for the Voice of the CEO calendar, including town halls, internal and external events, and briefing notes.
- Prepare key leadership communications to support strategic priorities.
- Oversee internal communication channels, monitoring performance to optimise and improve effectiveness.
- Oversee the management of key enterprise events.
- Coordinate with various change programs and their teams, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise activities.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with group functions and stakeholders.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in a strategic internal communications function within a large, complex organisation
- Ability to craft content and tailor strategic and corporate messages for a geographically dispersed, diverse and remote workforce
- Creative problem solver with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Data-driven with well-developed computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite
- Proven experience developing communications for executive-level C-suite stakeholders
- Leadership capability, with experience developing team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Experience aligning communications with business strategic goals, supported by well-developed influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant qualifications in Communications, Marketing or a related discipline
