We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on Site Supervisor to support delivery of a major environmental remediation project at Maralinga, SA. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, meaningful project while leading teams in a remote environment.
Reporting to the Project Manager (with indirect reporting to the Site Superintendent), you will play a critical role in coordinating and supervising field-based construction and maintenance works, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality delivery.

About the role
As Site Supervisor, you will lead day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements. This is a field-focused leadership role, requiring a strong on-site presence and the ability to oversee complex construction activities in a remote setting.
You will:
- Supervise and coordinate site operations and construction activitiesManage subcontractors to ensure work is delivered safely and to specification
- Review and approve permits, work packs, methodologies and risk assessments
- Champion a strong safety culture through pre-starts, toolbox talks and site inspections
- Oversee high-risk works including excavation, confined space and cranage activities
- Monitor progress, resources and delivery against schedule and scope
- Provide practical leadership and technical support to site teams
- Maintain accurate site records, reporting and quality controls
About you
You are an experienced site-based leader with a strong background in remote project delivery and high-risk construction environments. You’re confident leading from the front, building trust on site and driving a culture of safety and accountability.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in environmental remediation and earthworks
- Strong background in senior site supervision roles
- Experience working in FIFO or remote environments
- Demonstrated capability managing high-risk construction activities and subcontractors
- Solid understanding of HSE, risk and quality systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and clients
- Resilience, accountability and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualification in Construction, Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction/project environments
- Strong capability in construction delivery in complex or high-risk settings
- Experience in planning, scheduling and site coordination
- Asbestos removal supervision experience (highly regarded)
