About The Role
Join Ventia in Toowoomba as an experienced Safety (SHEQ) Advisor supporting our Rig and Well Services contract, working across multiple sites in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This is a roaming role where you’ll travel between rigs and operational sites across remote Queensland, providing hands-on safety support where it’s needed most. You’ll work closely with crews and leaders to maintain high safety standards, influence behaviours, and ensure compliance across diverse and ever-changing worksites.
We’re looking for a confident and adaptable safety professional with a strong background in high-risk industries such as construction, mining, energy, or heavy industry. Oil & gas experience is not essential but the ability to step into new environments and quickly build trust is key.
This role offers a 15/13 FIFO roster (12-hour days), with Toowoomba as the point of hire, and a competitive day rate of $696.45

What You’ll Do
- Provide on-the-ground safety support across multiple sites and crews
- Partner with supervisors and frontline teams to embed safe work practices
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and assurance activities across varying locations
- Lead and support incident investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions
- Act as a trusted advisor, coaching and influencing teams to strengthen safety behaviours
- Ensure consistent implementation of Ventia’s SHEQ systems and processes in a dynamic environment
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in a Safety Advisor role within high-risk industries (e.g. construction, mining, infrastructure, energy)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and influence in the field
- Solid understanding of WHS legislation, risk management, and safety systems
- Experience with audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum)
- Current manual driver’s licence
