Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, store, pick, pack, and dispatch materials and equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation.
- Conduct stocktakes, resolve inventory discrepancies, and respond to stock enquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse and yard, complying with all SHEQ requirements and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform basic assembly, testing, inspection, dismantling, and handling of traffic signal equipment, including management of faulty equipment and e-waste recycling.
- Prepare, pack, and allocate materials and equipment for project mobilisation, field crews, and project delivery, ensuring readiness and availability.
- Manage fuel supplies, monitor usage, and carry out basic equipment checks and maintenance inspections.
- Safely operate forklifts, trucks, trailers, and other material handling equipment, supporting yard operations, deliveries, collections, and transport logistics.
- Coordinate vehicle servicing and maintain safe traffic flow within warehouse and yard areas.
- Liaise with procurement, suppliers, transport providers, and subcontractors to manage stock replenishment and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics, or materials management environment.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic.
- A current Forklift Licence (mandatory).
- A current and valid Driver Licence (mandatory).
- A HR Truck Licence, or the willingness to obtain one.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and assembly skills (experience with traffic management or traffic signal equipment is highly desirable).
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks and work involving periods of standing, walking, lifting, and operating equipment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to learn new systems, processes, and skills.
