Salary: $129,464 to - $142,665 pa + Leave Loading and Superannuation
Your role:
We are looking for a Senior Offender Employment Officer to join the team at Corrective Services NSW. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about having a key strategic role in initiatives designed to provide sustainable employment for inmates following release from custody.
The Senior Offender Employment Officer is responsible for providing high level operations and administrative support to the work release program, ensuring that the team maintains service delivery standards to the required level.
What you’ll do:
As part of this role, you will review, analyse and resolve complex issues, mitigates risks, negotiate and maintain positive relations with all stakeholders and ensure that the service provided is aligned with policy in a changing environment. Additionally, as part of this role, you will be required to:
- Manage offender employment applications, including progress monitoring, documentation review, stakeholder engagement, and outcome negotiation.
- Research and analyse complex policy issues, identifying risks, emerging trends, and evidence-based solutions.
- Provide timely advice and strategic insights to stakeholders on application management, emerging issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Deliver high-level support and governance advice relating to offender employment and Work Readiness programs.
- Provide expert policy guidance to support the interpretation, implementation, and development of organisational and government initiatives.
- Assist strategic planning, reporting, and business plan development aligned with organisational and government priorities.

Qualifications Required:
- Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role
- Relevant qualifications in Leadership and Management and a Certificate IV in Correctional Practice are desirable and will be highly regarded
Essential Requirements:
- The role requires strong management, leadership, mentoring and guidance to the team
- Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description
- Ability and willingness to work with flexibility and commitment to meet demanding workload and deadlines
