Reporting to the Area Manager, you will lead field crews and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations across civil and fibre network projects, coordinating resources, monitoring project progress, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and promote a strong safety-first culture across all field activities
Manage subcontractors and internal crews to achieve project outcomes
Oversee project delivery, scheduling, quality, productivity, and costs
Ensure compliance with Telstra standards, SH&E requirements, and contractual obligations
Complete daily reporting, project tracking, and as-built documentation
Engage with clients, property owners, and key stakeholders
Assist with project scoping, design, and tender submissions as required
About You
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar telecommunications or civil construction leadership role
Strong understanding of Telstra Optical Fibre Networks, DBORs, DBYD plans, and construction drawings
Experience managing fibre deployment projects involving trenching, boring, and ploughing techniques
Proven ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and deliver projects safely and efficiently
Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills
Willingness to travel and work remotely when required
