About the Role
Ventia’s Group SHEQ team have a newly created position for a Pre Contracts Lead to partner with operations, providing leadership, advice and support in the development of SHEQ responses for work winning opportunities across the enterprise.
This role ensures SHEQ content is sufficiently detailed and addresses the requirements for submission and adds value to Ventia’s outcomes.
This role is a permanent full time opportunity and can be based out of any of the Australian States and are open to applications from experienced applicants and applicants who may have an understanding of SHEQ and eager to further develop their skills.
Other Role responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver SHEQ and ESG components of tender responses and other work winning activities.
- Review contractual requirements to identify risks and opportunities to Ventia.
- Delivering SHEQ and ESG support and guidance to Work winning teams.
- Identify SHEQ Critical Risks within the contract and collaborate with work winning teams to de-risk proposals and ensure alignment to the proposed contract.
- Build and maintain effective strategic relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally ensuring effective collaborative relationships with potential client SHEQ professionals.
- Identifying potential SHEQ innovations to enhance proposal value.
- Development and improvement of a library of standardised SHEQ responses for work winning opportunities.
- Support the mobilisation/ demobilisation team as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Quality, or Environmental Management (although not essential), along with the following capabilities:
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated experience in building strong client relationships and influencing at all levels.
- Deep understanding of operational processes, risk management, and compliance frameworks, with the ability to apply them effectively in complex environments.
- Proven experience partnering with Bid Teams, showcasing SHEQ expertise to strengthen tender responses and organisational capability.
- Strong analytical ability, with the capability to interpret data, generate insights, and translate them into strategic actions and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- High-level reporting skills, producing accurate, insightful, and professional documentation for a range of stakeholders.
