About the role
We are seeking an experienced 1 year fixed term contract Coordinator – IT Asset Management to play a key role in governing, coordinating and optimising the lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets across the organisation.
In this role, you will be the steward of IT Asset Management (ITAM) practices, ensuring assets are managed in line with enterprise architecture, digital workplace transformation objectives, and corporate risk and compliance frameworks. You will be accountable for maintaining audit‑ready asset records, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the organisation realises maximum value from its technology investments.
This is a hands‑on, collaborative role suited to someone who enjoys working across teams, using data and analytics to drive decisions, and improving asset visibility, compliance and lifecycle efficiency.

What the role will involve:
IT Asset Management strategy & governance
- Act as the process owner for IT Asset Management, maintaining and enforcing ITAM policies, standards and procedures.
- Contribute to ITAM strategies and roadmaps aligned with enterprise architecture and modern workplace initiatives.
- Ensure ITAM practices support cybersecurity, compliance and operational resilience objectives.
Lifecycle management & risk controls
- Coordinate the end‑to‑end lifecycle of IT assets, including planning, acquisition, deployment, maintenance and disposal.
- Assess and implement lifecycle actions that balance cost, risk and business needs.
- Monitor and manage asset‑related risks, including licence compliance, warranty management and secure decommissioning.
Audit readiness & compliance
- Maintain asset records, processes and evidence to ensure ongoing audit readiness.
- Support internal and external audits and lead remediation of asset and licence‑related findings.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual and corporate requirements.
Reporting & data governance
- Deliver accurate, timely reporting on asset inventory, utilisation, compliance and lifecycle trends.
- Maintain high‑quality asset data and contribute to enterprise data governance practices.
- Use analytics to identify risks, trends and optimisation opportunities.
Collaboration & continuous improvement
- Work closely with IT operations, procurement, finance, risk and project teams to embed effective asset governance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ITAM maturity, visibility and efficiency.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, automation and best practices to improve asset discovery, tracking and lifecycle management.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to support service delivery and contract compliance.
Ethics & compliance
- Perform all duties in line with organisational policies, codes of conduct, safety requirements, and accountability frameworks.
- Demonstrate ethical behaviour and contribute to a respectful, inclusive and high‑performance workplace culture.
Key skills and experience:
- ITIL Foundation certification or an equivalent IT Service Management certification (e.g. ITIL 4, ISO/IEC 20000, ServiceNow‑aligned certifications).
- Substantial experience coordinating IT hardware and software asset governance and lifecycle management in an enterprise environment.
- Considerable hands‑on experience with ITSM platforms, particularly ServiceNow, including HAM, SAM, CMDB integration and lifecycle workflows.
- Experience working with vendors, managing asset catalogues, and supporting procurement and contract compliance processes.
- Strong working knowledge of IT Asset Management principles, lifecycle management and compliance requirements.
- Solid understanding of ITIL and service management best practices.
- Experience supporting audit processes and regulatory compliance related to IT assets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret asset data and translate insights into action.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Highly organised, accountable and results‑focused.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a strong continuous improvement mindset.
