Ventia’s Transport Infrastructure Solutions business is seeking an experienced Project Director to join the team.
The Project Director has overall accountability for the safe, compliant and high‑performing delivery of a large‑scale, long‑term road maintenance and infrastructure services program. The role provides strategic, operational and commercial leadership across the road network, ensuring service obligations are met while driving continuous improvement and strong safety outcomes.
You will lead a multidisciplinary leadership team spanning operations, construction, planning, commercial and safety functions, with responsibility for performance, governance and stakeholder confidence. This role suits an experienced infrastructure leader who can balance operational delivery with strategic oversight.
This is a permanent full-time position and will be based out of our Dandenong office.
Role responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and direction for road maintenance and works delivery
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental and legislative requirements
- Lead performance management, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee commercial, financial and governance outcomes
- Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
About You
To be successful in your application, you will have:
- Extensive experience leading large road maintenance or infrastructure service contracts
- Strong leadership capability in safety‑critical environments
- Proven commercial and governance expertise
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related discipline
- Supervisory experience in either Road Maintenance, Operations or Construction field
- White Card and driver’s licence
- Good understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
- Good working knowledge of MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel.
