The Role
Our Rigs & Wells division is currently seeking a highly self-motivated and experienced SHEQAdvisor to join our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) team. This is a field-based role on Barrow Island, reporting to the SHEQ Manager.
The role requires strong skills in stakeholder engagement and providing quality in-field support to our resources operations - Rigs and Wells – Energy Contract. You will be instrumental in promoting a positive health and safety culture and driving continual improvement initiatives.
This is a casual ongoing position with a 12-hour working day on a 2:2 roster. Accommodation and flights are provided from Perth WA, and a company vehicle is provided while onsite.
The pay rate for this position ranges from $695.00 to $900.00 per day (flat rate, including casual loading), based on experience.

Your duties:
- Actively develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Facilitate operational risk reviews at a site level in conjunction with the SHEQ Manager
- Conduct onsite audits and inspections in accordance with assurance plans, identify corrective actions.
- Participate and assist with annual reviews of training initiatives and compliance
- Work with rig crews conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures
- Facilitate weekly safety meetings and develop weekly SHEQ Reports
- Report and investigate all incidents
- Assist in Injury Management
- Drive the implementation of SHEQ management plans, procedures and processes
Requirements:
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment- Highly regarded
- Experience with ICAM and Taproot
- Safety Auditor accreditation – Highly regarded
- Previous experience in a field-based safety advisor role, with expertise in incident investigation methodologies
- Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a team player
