The Role
Ventia are currently looking to engage a Trade Repair Officer to support our team working on the Defence Maintenance Contract. Reporting to the Senior Regional Planner, this role will be working within the Trade Repair Team, and you will be required to manage the maintenance of assets and tasks performed on-site.
This is a full-time permanent role, working Monday – Friday, 07:00am to 03:45pm with a 12:00pm finish on Fridays (38hours per week) with some flexibility options. This role will see you based at Palmer Barracks in South Guildford and there will be paid overtime opportunities available.
The payrate for this position is $54.23 per hour + allowances.
To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Schedulers with maintenance work implementation, performance, service, and quality assurance
- Coordinate maintenance tasks to ensure action plans and objectives are achieved within timeframes
- Create and manage job packets to obtain quotes for work to be completed with external subcontractors
- Verifying subcontractor invoices for billing to be completed
- Identify any missing/required parts, place orders through appropriate channels, receipt the parts and maintain stock levels in the stores as required
- Ensure safe work processes are provided and followed by subcontractors
Requirements:
- Trade Certificate from a Mechanical / Workshop background (Mechanic, Electronics, Fitter)
- Proven experience managing equipment repair and overhaul through commercial repair agencies
- WA Driver’s Licence
- Forklift Licence – Highly regarded
- Previous experience within a stores or maintenance environment
- Open and clear communication within a team environment
- The ability to obtain and hold a defence security clearance
