About the role
We have a permanent opportunity for a Team Leader Statewide Renewals joining our Asset Planning & Delivery Group. As a leader in the Asset Investment Planning team, you’ll be responsible for bringing a statewide view to the asset management and end of life renewals across a selection of our water, wastewater, drainage, and irrigation asset base. This is a great opportunity to gain a better understanding of the Corporation’s varied assets and the different challenges faced in the metro area and across the regions. The role will be based in our Leederville office and will report to the Manager Statewide Renewals.

What the role will involve
• Lead a team of Renewal Planning Engineers to assess asset deficiencies, prioritise and oversee the asset condition assessment program, analyse asset data and provide recommendations for effective and efficient renewals investment in relevant asset classes across WA
• Translation of asset management objectives into plans for investment to achieve an optimal balance between cost, risk and the specified level of service, ultimately delivering minimum whole of life cost for the Corporation’s assets across the statewide asset portfolio
• Lead the planning of the renewals component of Asset Condition Management Plans for the relevant asset portfolio and manage the integrated planning approach across relevant sections to enable decisions around optimum timing and scope of investment, management of risk and customer service
• Lead development of capital programs, business cases and projects with deliverables that mitigate risk and meet the investment objectives of the relevant asset portfolio
• Lead the development of asset condition monitoring and assessment programs that provide the required information for robust asset investment decisions
• Collaborate with Statewide Renewals Manager to provide technical mentoring of people and inform competency framework on skills requirements to ensure work programs delivers required business outcomes
About you
You’ll have a degree or tertiary level qualification in in a relevant field. You will have substantial experience in planning, design, acquisitions or operational delivery of Asset Investment programs. Your demonstrated leadership, and ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence both senior internal and external stakeholders will ensure success in this role.
