About the role
We currently have an opportunity available for a Senior Advisor within our Corporate Communications team.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting, developing and implementing effective corporate communication for internal and external audiences. A key component of this role is supporting all CEO communication and engagement opportunities, aligned to our business objectives, goals and values. Another key area of responsibility is the drafting and delivery of external corporate publications, including the annual report, ensuring they reflect our performance, priorities and commitments.

What the role will involve
Prepares high-quality CEO communications and speaking notes for internal and external engagements, aligned to business priorities and messages.
Provides strategic communications advice to senior leaders and the CEO to support key business outcomes.
- Supports CEO visibility opportunities across internal channels such as global emails, Waterfront articles, leader forums, and presentations as well as LinkedIn opportunities.
- Advises the business on the most appropriate channels, campaigns, events and materials for the CEO to share information.
- Contributes to CEO calendar of events through regular engagement with CEO office (via Manager Corporate Communications) to manage deadlines and deliverables.
- Develops and produces CEO and Board forewords for corporate publications, as required.
- Leads the development of Water Corporation’s Annual Report to provide the WA Government and key stakeholders with our yearly performance while ensuring consistency with brand, tone and style.
Key skills and experience
- Degree qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Management or a related discipline
- Substantial experience in delivering corporate publications, speechwriting and providing communications advice and support at a corporate level in a large service-based organisation.
- Excellent speech writing and ability to craft stories.
- In-depth knowledge of available and proven communication channels.
- Demonstrated ability to engender and stimulate employee engagement, commitment and advocacy.
- Ability to deliver large-scale corporate publications within legislatively prescribed timeframes.
