Maintenance Planner – Defence

This role suits a hands on Maintenance Planner who enjoys structure, ownership and working closely with stakeholders to keep assets running safely and efficiently.
Ventia is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our Defence & Social Infrastructure contract, based at Palmer Barracks in South Guildford. You’ll be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities across Defence facilities, working within established frameworks while continuously improving how work is delivered.
This is a stable, long term role offering genuine work–life balance, flexibility, and the support of an experienced and collaborative team.
The role
You’ll take end to end ownership of maintenance planning activities, including:
- Planning, scheduling and coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance works
- Managing work orders, parts, and maintenance data through SAP (ERP/EAM)
- Working closely with site teams and Defence representatives to meet operational requirements
- Monitoring performance, reporting on outcomes, and identifying planning improvements
- Supporting SHEQ compliance and safe work practices across site
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Has worked in a maintenance, facilities, or asset based environment
- Understands how good planning supports technicians, safety and delivery
- Is organised, confident liaising with stakeholders, and comfortable working to process
- Wants stability, structure and balance without losing exposure to meaningful work

- Salary package up to $95,000 including super, depending on experience

What you’ll bring
- Previous experience in maintenance planning or scheduling
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, with SAP experience desirable
- Australian Citizenship is essential due to Defence clearance requirements
