Shape Your World
At Alcoa, you will become an essential part of our purpose: to turn raw potential into real progress. The way we see it, every Alcoan is a work-shaper, team-shaper, idea-shaper & world-shaper.

About the Role
Alcoa has been part of the Australian community since the early 60’s and since 1978, we have been providing tours of our WA operations to share knowledge and educate the public, interested groups and stakeholders on the transformational process of mining bauxite, rehabilitating the land after operations, and refining product into alumina, before it is transformed into aluminium, a key element in our everyday lives and green energy future.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Education Officer to join our Regional Tours Team, located at our Bindjareb office in Pinjarra, on a part time basis, 3 days per week (24 hrs.) on a 2-year fixed term contract. There is potential for additional overtime hours.

Coordinating and delivering plans, documentations, communication and support tools required to deliver in-person and online tours including procedures, speaking notes, routes, written materials, merchandise, presentations, Q&As, and interactive tools to increase engagement
Monitor and measure progress and effectiveness of our WA Tour program and provide recommendations for improvements where required.
This role offers diversity and exposure across four WA Operating locations, Huntly, Willowdale, Pinjarra and Wagerup, with a dedicated team vehicle to support travel needs.
What’s on offer
Parental leave support for all caregivers.
Career development opportunities to pursue your passion
Benefits allowance and performance related bonus (variable)
Make a difference in our local communities with paid employee volunteering hours
Access to the Alcoa LiveWell program with a selection of health and wellbeing discount offers to help you live your best life

Strong project management and administrative skills with the ability to manage priorities
Experience in Microsoft office, OneDrive, Monday.com and other management systems
Ability and confidence to work well in a team environment and autonomously
Knowledge of the bauxite-alumina-aluminium industry and Alcoa’s geographical and sociopolitical setting in WA would be advantageous
