As a Cyber Security Architect, you will lead the design of secure public cloud environments for HCF’s critical systems, partnering with infrastructure and application teams to embed security and protect against evolving cyber threats
Responsibilities
- Security Strategy: Define and maintain a security strategy for the cloud hosting environment.
- Threat Modelling: Conduct threat modelling sessions with infrastructure and application teams to identify potential security issues.
- Security Best Practices: Develop, implement, and maintain company policies and procedures related to security controls in IT infrastructure including traditional on-prem data center and public cloud.
- Security Patterns: Guide Infrastructure and applications teams in designing secure solutions with established cyber security patterns.
- Lead cyber security capability assessment and formulate cyber security strategy and roadmap
- Training and Guidance: Provide training and technical guidance to infrastructure and application teams regarding security best practices and new vulnerabilities.
- Compliance: Ensure applications comply with industry standards and regulations, such as CPS234, NIST, and PCI DSS.
- Collaboration: Work with IT, network security, and other departments to architect technical solutions that are secure from end-to-end.
- Reporting: Prepare security reports for upper management and recommend enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security operations, and compliance, to align cybersecurity initiatives with business objectives. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively
- Comply with HCF WHS policies, procedures and safe work practices
Essential Skills
- 10+ years design and consulting experience in IT infrastructure and cyber security
- In-depth knowledge of traditional IT infrastructure and public cloud technologies
- Proven experience in cloud migration project (AWS, Azure etc.)
- Excellent communication & client stakeholder experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Ability to demonstrate and display HCF Values: Step Forward, Stay Human, Walk in their Shoes, Make it Better and Get There Together
Desirable Skills
- Strong understanding of IAC (infrastructure as code) such as Terraform is highly desirable
- Industry certification such as AWS, GCP or Azure
- Professional certifications or working knowledge such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are highly desirable.
- Previous Financial services or insurance industry experience
